Awards for All Lottery Grant

In 2005, Bishops Cleeve W.I. was awarded a lottery grant for some of its members to go on courses at Denman College.

Some members formed groups and went on the same course together others went as pairs or on their own.

 

I was due to go on a Botanical Illustration Course with another member in April 2005 but family events prevented me from going.  Instead I did a weekend Traditional Indian Cookery course in September 2006.

I thoroughly enjoyed this and, even though I went on my own, I soon met up with other course members.  Everyone was very friendly and mealtimes were great fun because I met new people on other courses.

 

On the last evening, our tutor, Rama, brought in saris for us to dress up and demonstrate indian dress to the others at Denman that weekend.
